Our Company Name

The Seven Trees

Acacia Fir Myrtle Pine Cedar Cypress Olive

The name of our business is inspired by a bible verse found in Isaiah which speaks of seven trees in the desert.

“I will put in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, the myrtle and the olive tree. I will set in the desert the cypress, the [fir] and the pine together. That they may see and know, may consider and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created it.” – Isaiah 41:19-20

This verse speaks of the miraculous nature of God and the favor he can bestow on those who follow him. We give God the credit for our gifts, talents and resources as we strive to serve and honor him in the work we do.

Our Mission

Designing projects that are practical and elegant. Building to a high standard of construction. Striving to exceed our customer’s expectations. Cultivating a positive and engaging workplace where employees are valued. Utilizing our God given talents to improve the community that we work and live in.

Protecting our Resources
We understand the importance of implementing environmentally safe practices that will sustain the earth for future generations. The following are just a few of the things we have done and continue to do to protect our resources.

Our Process

Here at Seven Trees Woodworking we enjoy working alongside our customers every step of the way. Your custom door, cabinets, or millwork will be used for many years to come and we will do everything we can to ensure each project is finished to your complete satisfaction.

Contact & Design

Once you contact us we will briefly discuss your project and will give you a cost range. Then we can set up a time to meet at our showroom to discuss your project more in depth. If needed a site visit will be scheduled to get measurements and discuss the project. At that initial meeting we will discuss style, wood species and finishes. We encourage you to bring pictures and ideas for the project along with you to help us see your vision. We also welcome the opportunity to collaborate with other design professionals. 3D drawings will be developed from this consult and a more detailed proposal will be made based on your needs.

After your custom design is complete and you are ready to order, you will be asked to sign a written agreement outlining your project as well as place a 50% deposit for the purchase of your cabinets, door or custom millwork. Additionally you will need to provide the following information during the confirmation process.

*Delivery and production dates may be affected by changes made after final approval

Final Approval

Final drawings will be reviewed and changed if needed. It is imperative that you carefully review the final drawings as they represent everything that was discussed and reflect the final outcome of the project. Any changes to these drawings must be made before your millwork goes into production. After final approval, most cabinets, doors and custom millwork can be delivered 4-6 weeks from your last revision. Once your custom order is in production, any changes made may result in additional cost and a delayed delivery date.

A cut list will be made from the drawings and materials will be ordered. One or two craftsmen will take your project from rough lumber to a completed piece ready for the finish room.

Our stains are hand wiped, sealed, and then a catalyzed varnish, polyurethane or exterior finish topcoat is applied. The final assembly is completed and the project is ready to be delivered and installed.

Our carpenters and/or one of our trusted subcontractors will install your door, cabinets or millwork. We strive to maintain a clean job site and to be as unobtrusive as possible in your home. We do not consider the job finished until you are completely satisfied.

Vern Denlinger “Jarin’s knowledge and eye for detail is above the standard and his design suggestions for custom cabinetry, restoration and millwork reproduction are valuable. Partnering with Seven Trees Woodworking completes a successful project.”

– Vern Denlinger, Denlinger Fisher Builders, LLC

“We cannot say enough good things about Jarin Smoker and his team at Seven Trees. Jarin worked with our architect to design stunning kitchen cabinetry including a centerpiece island that looks like a piece of fine furniture. The design, fabrication and installation could not have been handled better and the results speak for themselves. Thanks to Seven Trees Woodworking, we have a kitchen that we will treasure for decades to come.”

-Gary and Nadia Gold-Moritz, Washington DC

“Jarin displayed his talent in our kitchen. He redid the doors of our old wooden cabinets and then worked with us to design and build 2 additional units in our kitchen – one for a cooktop with storage drawers underneath, and another for a wall oven. I could not have been happier. His craftsmanship is beautiful. Our kitchen looks like a new room and we have had so many compliments. I would not hesitate to recommend Seven Trees to anyone!”

-Ginny Kuklewski

PAm“We were first acquainted with Jarin and his work pre-Seven Trees days. He did an excellent job retro-fitting cabinets that we moved around in a kitchen. There were several places that needed spots filled in. He made cabinets that matched the originals, even though the originals were over 35 years old. He did the same for trim throughout the house! What a wizard! We called him back when we moved, and he did his magic again in both our kitchen and bath.”

-Pamela Hasse

“Jarin did custom cabinetry when we built our house in 2006. We were astonished at how precise his work was for being in his early 20’s. Ten years later we invited his team back to do built-in cabinets in our office. Again he didn’t let us down. They came up with a design that was not only functional but beautiful. I highly recommend Seven Trees Woodworking!”

-Kris Kauffman

Doug Smoker“Jarin is my go to craftsman. When I work with him I feel as if I am working with a true artisan from colonial times. Quality work that will last a lifetime originate from his hands.”

-Doug Smoker

“We wanted a built-in bookcase with a rolling ladder and a special shutter for one of our front windows. We got three different contractors to quote the jobs. Jarin’s quote was competitive and we went with him. He showed sincere interest in the project and returned to show us wood samples and discuss his ideas. More importantly, to listen to our ideas and concerns with specific aspects (wood color/combinations/number of shelves/ladder details, etc). We were pleased with the shutter. We were thrilled with the bookcase; it is really exceptional/perfect for our home. He was on-time and the installation was smooth. He treated our home with respect while doing the install and cleaned up after it was complete. We subsequently asked him to quote another built-in cabinet for our pizza room and door for our master bath. The cabinet is in and we are very pleased once again. Here he also returned with wood samples and to discuss his ideas with us and again listen to us. He really took time to listen to what we wanted and to ensure the functionality of the cabinet. The bathroom door is yet to be installed as there is some hold-up from a glass supplier – but he has kept us updated and will finish that once the glass arrives. We have already asked him to prepare another quote for another custom door in our home. Obviously, as we have proceeded with two projects and requesting our third quote from Jarin – we would recommend him. Our experience has been very positive and hope that yours will be as well.”

-N.G.M. of Wayne, PA

Kay Zahn“We had a unique situation: a well-used kitchen that we liked because it was made out of boards from the granary in our barn… But, we needed more counter space without spoiling the cabinets that existed. Jarin designed and installed a cabinet that matches what we had, reconfigured the rat tail hinges that had been installed incorrectly years ago and created lots of easily sliding drawers, inside cabinet drawers and counter space without looking like an add on. Everyone who comes in is wowed!!”

-Charlie & Kay Rohrer of Paradise, PA

“Thanks for your hard work. I very much appreciate your talents and your willingness to help in this most unusual situation.”

– Deborah Firth

“You always do a great job at meeting our custom requirements for commercial projects using your knowledge with different types of materials and understanding what the customer wants. Also, you do a great job meeting schedules.”

– Kyle Kauffman, Kauffman Kitchens

“Seven Trees Woodworking is where I go with the complicated, custom and unusual jobs that I have.”
